In Winnipeg, Cliff Cullen, Manitoba’s minister of education, Dana Rudy, the deputy minister, and Dr. Brent Roussin, the province’s chief public health officer, hold a news conference to discuss COVID-19 contact tracing in schools. Dr. Roussin announces that schools will no longer notify close contacts of individual COVID-19 cases and will instead provide absenteeism reports through the normal school channels.
