In Fredericton, Dr. Jennifer Russell, New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health, and Dorothy Shephard, the provincial health minister, announce the rollout of the province’s three-level plan to curb COVID-19 transmission during the winter. On December 5, the province will enter the first level of the plan with health restrictions similar to those already in effect. The plan has two other levels with more stringent restrictions, which the province can move to as necessary based on factors such as increased COVID-19 case counts or hospitalizations.
