In Charlottetown, Dennis King, the premier of Prince Edward Island, and Dr. Heather Morrison, the chief public health officer of P.E.I., provide an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. Premier King announces that on September 21, the province will implement a vaccine-or-test policy for provincial employees working in vulnerable settings. He also announces that the province’s version of a vaccine passport, to be known as a “P.E.I. Vax Pass,” is expected to go into effect on October 5.
