Yukon reports record-high number of active COVID-19 cases – June 16, 2021
In Whitehorse, Yukon Premier Sandy Silver and Dr. Brendan Hanley, Yukon’s chief medical officer of health, provide an update on the territory’s response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. They are joined by Peter Johnston, Grand Chief of the Council of Yukon First Nations. The province is reporting 50 active cases of COVID-19, which is the highest number since the beginning of the pandemic. Most of the cases involve children and young adults.
