In Halifax, Iain Rankin, the premier of Nova Scotia, and Dr. Robert Strang, the province’s chief medical officer of health, provide an update on the provincial response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. In his remarks, Premier Rankin announces his government is investing $17.2 million more to support small businesses affected by ongoing public health restrictions. Businesses that qualify for this round of assistance will receive $5,000.
