Ontario expanding COVID-19 vaccination eligibility by end of May to all adults – April 29, 2021

In a news conference at Queen’s Park, Ontario Health Minister and Deputy Premier Christine Elliott provides an update on the province’s COVID-19 vaccination plan. She is joined by Ontario Solicitor General Sylvia Jones. The minister announces the province is allocating 50 per cent of upcoming vaccine shipments to hot spot communities as identified by postal code. Ontario is also lowering the age eligibility to receive vaccines as supply increases. Adults aged 30 and over can book appointments starting May 17, while adults 18 and order can register staring May 24.
