Alberta expands vaccine rollout for health-care workers, rapid testing in schools – April 10, 2021

At a news conference in Edmonton, Jason Kenney, the premier of Alberta, announces his government is expanding its vaccine rollout to front-line health-care workers. Starting April 12, more than 240,000 eligible health-care workers in the province can begin booking their vaccine appointments.
The premier also announces the province is expanding its in-school rapid screening test program for COVID-19 to up to 300 schools located in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge and Grande Prairie. He is joined by Adriana LaGrange, Alberta’s minister of education.
