14:30 AT / 13:30 ET: New Brunswick update on COVID-19
In Fredericton, Dr. Jennifer Russell, New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health, and Premier Blaine Higgs provide an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. The province is reporting 32 new cases of COVID-19 and declaring an outbreak at a second special care home in Edmundston, Le Pavillon Le Royer. Public health officials had declared an outbreak the previous day at Manoir Belle Vue. Zones 1 (Moncton region), 2 (Saint John region), 3 (Fredericton region) and 4 (Edmundston region) are currently under the red level of alert following an increase in the number of cases in the areas.
