In Ottawa, Mayor Jim Watson, Dr. Vera Etches, Ottawa’s medical officer of health, and Anthony Di Monte, general manager of Ottawa Emergency and Protective Services, provide an update on the city’s response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. Responding to questions from reporters, they comment on the Ontario government’s implementation of a province-wide stay-at-home order, which is set to take effect on January 14, 2021.
