In Fredericton, Dr. Jennifer Russell, New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health, and Premier Blaine Higgs provide an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. They announce that, as of January 6, 2021, all health regions in the province will move to ‘orange’ level restrictions. The increased restrictions come as New Brunswick reports 27 new cases of COVID-19, a single-day record.
