In Edmonton, Tyler Shandro (Alberta’s health minister), Paul Wynnyk (provincial deputy minister of municipal affairs and chair of the province’s COVID-19 vaccine task force) and Dr. Deena Hinshaw (Alberta’s chief medical officer of health) provide an update on the province’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan. The first shipment of vaccines have arrived in Canada and Alberta is scheduled to begin administering the Health Canada approved Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on December 16.
