COVID-19: All of New Brunswick back to yellow phase – December 10, 2020
In Fredericton, Dr. Jennifer Russell, New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health, Dorothy Shephard, provincial health minister, and Greg MacCallum, director of the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization, provide an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. They announce that zone 2 (Saint John region) will be moving from the more restrictive orange phase to the less restrictive yellow phase, which means the whole province will now be under the yellow alert level. Minister Shepard also lists the groups that will receive the first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. These groups include nursing home residents and staff, members of the Provincial Rapid Outbreak Management Team, paramedics, health-care workers in COVID-19 units, seniors aged 85 and older, and First Nations nurses.
