COVID-19 in New Brunswick: Moncton & Fredericton areas moving back to 'yellow' zones – Dec. 6, 2020
In Fredericton, Dr. Jennifer Russell, New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health, and Premier Blaine Higgs provide an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. Dr. Russell begins the briefing by reading out the names of the 14 women who were killed 31 years ago in the École Polytechnique de Montréal massacre. The province announces that the Moncton (Zone 1) and Fredericton (Zone 3) regions will return to lower ‘yellow’ level restrictions as of December 7. The Saint John region (Zone 2) will remain under tighter ‘orange’ level restrictions as the area continues to be the hotspot for cases in New Brunswick.
