Nova Scotia update on COVID-19: Restrictions extended for Halifax and Hants Country – Dec. 4, 2020
In Halifax, Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia’s chief medical officer of health, and Premier Stephen McNeil provide an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. They announce that restrictions currently in place in areas of Halifax Regional Municipality and Hants County are extended until at least December 16. Tighter restrictions in those regions have been in effect since November 24 for an initial two-week period. Voluntary testing for rotational workers are also beginning. The province is also launching more asymptomatic testing.
