On Parliament Hill, Dr. Theresa Tam, Canada’s chief public health officer, and Dr. Howard Njoo, the deputy chief public health officer, join ministers Anita Anand (public services and procurement), Jean-Yves Duclos (Treasury Board president) and Navdeep Bains (innovation, science and industry) for an update on the federal response to COVID-19 (coronavirus disease). Minister Anand provides details on the latest procurement developments in the fight against COVID-19, including the purchase of 126 specialized freezers for the storage of COVID-19 vaccines doses and an agreement with Eli Lilly for an initial order of up to 26,000 doses of their COVID-19 monoclonal antibody therapy.
