Manitoba update on COVID-19 as province hits single-day record of new cases – November 23, 2020
In Winnipeg, Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba’s chief public health health officer, provides an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Lanette Siragusa, the provincial lead of health system integration and quality as well as chief nursing officer for Shared Health. The province is reporting 546 new COVID-19 cases, which is the biggest daily increase since the pandemic started. Manitoba has a total of 14,000 cases, which means that one per cent of Manitobans have now tested positive for COVID-19. The province entered a lockdown in November in an effort to slow the spread of the virus.
