Green Party Leader Annamie Paul on Canada’s plan to reach net-zero emissions – November 16, 2020
At a news conference on Parliament Hill, Annamie Paul, the leader of the Green Party of Canada, discusses her party’s expectations concerning Canada’s plan to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. She is joined by Elizabeth May, the Green Party parliamentary leader, and Paul Manly, the Green Party MP for Nanaimo–Ladysmith, B.C. It has been reported that the federal government could introduce legislation this week to lay out its plan for meeting the country’s emissions targets. The Green leader also calls for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to convene an emergency COVID-19 task force.
