Alberta Premier on Emissions Reduction, COVID-19 – November 2, 2020



At a news conference in Edmonton, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney and Environment and Parks Minister Jason Nixon announce new emissions reduction programs. They announce that Alberta’s government will invest $280 million to fund three provincial programs that will support approximately 5,000 jobs and cut an estimated 13 million tonnes of emissions by 2030. They are joined by Steve MacDonald, CEO of Emissions Reduction Alberta. The premier also faces questions on his government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
