Ontario premier gives COVID-19 update, launches second phase of Ontario-made program – Oct. 29, 2020



Ontario Premier Doug Ford makes an announcement in Barrie and responds to questions about his government’s response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Vic Fedeli (provincial minister of economic development, job creation and trade), as well as Dennis Darby (president and CEO of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters), Stephen Schroeter (co-CEO of Napoleon), Chris Schroeter (co-CEO of Napoleon), Jeff Lehman (mayor of Barrie), and Doug Downey (MPP for Barrie—Springwater—Oro-Medonte). The premier announces that Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) and the government of Ontario are launching a new Ontario Made Consumer Directory. This guide will make it easier for shoppers to find made-in-Ontario products, while supporting local businesses and manufacturers through the economic recovery.
