In a news conference at Queen’s Park, Ontario Premier Doug Ford provides an update on his government’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Steve Clark, the province’s minister of municipal affairs and housing, Caroline Mulroney, the minister of transportation, and Kinga Surma, the associate minister of transportation. They announce that the government has introduced a package of legislative and policy measures that would, if passed, accelerate key infrastructure projects, such as highways, public transit networks and affordable housing.
