Premier Ford announces Ont. to increase COVID-19 testing, hire more contact tracers – Oct. 14, 2020
In a news conference at Queen’s Park, Ontario Premier Doug Ford and provincial Health Minister Christine Elliott provide an update on their government’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. They are joined by Dr. Barbara Yaffe, Ontario’s associate chief medical officer of health. The premier announces that more pharmacies will provide COVID-19 tests for asymptomatic people showing a high-risk of infection. Minister Elliot also announces that 600 people will be hired as contract tracers of new cases.
