COVID-19: Alberta announces voluntary measures for Edmonton as case numbers rise – October 8, 2020
In Edmonton, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s chief medical officer of health, provides an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. She announces three voluntary public-health measures for Edmonton amid a surge of cases in the zone. The province is recommending a new limit of 15 people for all private gatherings. There is currently a limit of 50 people for family and social gatherings. The province also recommends wearing a mask in all indoor work settings except when employees are alone or a barrier is in place, and limiting the number of cohort groups to three.
