Alberta Energy Minister Sonya Savage speaks with reporters in Edmonton after outlining her government’s plan to develop clean geothermal energy as a resource that can help diversify the province’s economy. She is joined by Bailey Schwarz (lead engineer, Eavor Technologies Inc.), Manjot Klair( operations and policy manager, Canadian Geothermal Energy Association) and Juli Rohl (animator, Energy Futures Lab). The minister responds to questions about the federal government’s proposed national ban on several single-use plastics and how it could affect Alberta’s plan to become a continental hub for recycling plastic.
