At a news conference on Parliament Hill, Elizabeth May, the Green Party parliamentary leader, discusses her party’s expectations for the speech from the throne and comments on the provincial election campaign that is underway in British Columbia. She is joined by Green MP Paul Manly. The throne speech, which will mark the opening of the second session of the 43rd Parliament and outline the federal government’s legislative agenda, is set to be delivered later in the day by Governor General Julie Payette.
