New Brunswick COVID-19 update: 3 new cases in Campbellton outbreak – May 31, 2020
In Fredericton, Dr. Jennifer Russell, New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health, and Premier Blaine Higgs provide an update on the province’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Three new cases have been identified in an ongoing outbreak in the Campbellton region, bringing to twelve the total number of active cases associated with that cluster. The Campbellton outbreak has been traced back to a health-care worker who contracted the virus in Quebec and did not self-isolate for 14 days upon his return to New Brunswick. The three newly confirmed cases are all associated with a long-term care facility in the community of Atholville.
