Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Trinity Bellwoods crowds and COVID-19 testing – May 24, 2020

In a statement at Queen’s Park, Doug Ford, the premier of Ontario, announces that the province will soon be releasing a detailed testing strategy for COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) and invites residents who are concerned they may have the virus to get tested. Ontario has set a target rate of 16,000 tests per day but has fallen short of that goal in recent days. In his remarks, the premier also comments on public-health concerns arising from large crowds gathering in Trinity Bellwoods Park, a popular green space in downtown Toronto.
