COVID-19: Newfoundland and Labrador moves to next phase of reopening plan – May 11, 2020



In St. John’s, Dr. Janice Fitzgerald, Newfoundland and Labrador’s chief medical officer of health, Dwight Ball, premier of the province, and John Haggie, N.L.’s minister of health, discuss the province’s next phase of its recovery plan from the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. The four regional health authorities will begin to allow some health-care services to resume. Gatherings for funerals, burials and weddings can be expanded to up to 10 people provided physical distancing measures are maintained. Certain businesses are also allowed to reopen.
