Kamloops, BC – The City of Kamloops has updated MyCity, a self-serve web application that connects customers to real-time and historical account information for various City services, including property taxes, utility billing, dog licences, business licences, and building/development permits.
- updated look and feel
- improved navigation, no pop-up windows, and account information viewable on a single page
- mobile-friendly experience that improves viewing on phones and tablets
- intuitive design that allows users to navigate and add accounts with ease
Through MyCity, residents and businesses can register to view applicable account information and billing history, track utility consumption history and conversion efforts, review current and historical property assessment and tax levy information, claim a Home Owner Grant, sign up for e-billing, and make payments for business and/or dog licences.
“Users who have an existing MyCity customer account are not required to take any action,” said Jeff Burton, the City’s Business Analysis Service Manager. “All MyCity profiles have been transitioned to the new system. We hope that with the system improvements, more residents and business owners will register to access their property information and take advantage of online payments, especially with City facility closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Online payment options for business and dog licences include Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit, and Interac Online. The City currently does not accept online payments for utilities or property taxes through its website; however, most financial institutions offer the option to pay utilities and property taxes through their telephone and Internet banking services.
Residents and business owners who are not already registered are encouraged to register and learn at Kamloops.ca/MyCity-App.
