B.C. government announces measures to assist homeless during COVID-19 pandemic – April 25, 2020

At a news conference in Vancouver, Mike Farnworth, the British Columbia solicitor general and minister of public safety, Judy Darcy, the B.C. minister of mental health and addiction, and Shane Simpson, the B.C. minister of social development and poverty reduction, announce measures aimed at assisting the province’s homeless population. This population has faced additional challenges due to public-health restrictions implemented during the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic.
