B.C. announces health-care support for remote and Indigenous communities – April 20, 2020



In Victoria, John Horgan, the premier of British Columbia, announces new measures to support the delivery of health-care services for residents of B.C.’s rural, remote, and Indigenous communities during the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. The premier is joined by Scott Fraser, B.C.’s minister of Indigenous relations and reconciliation, and Dr. Danièle Behn Smith, deputy provincial health officer for aboriginal health. Susan Wannamaker, executive vice-president of clinical service delivery for B.C.’s Provincial Health Services Authority, also takes part in the briefing from Vancouver.
