In Edmonton, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney announces that the province will be sending medical supplies such as ventilators and personal protective equipment (PPE) to provinces in need amid the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. He is joined by Tyler Shandro, Alberta’s health minister, and Jitendra Prasad, Alberta Health Services chief program officer for contracting, procurement and supply management. Kenney says that due to Alberta’s pandemic planning, it is able to send excess supplies such as N95 masks and gloves to Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia to help those provinces address their shortages.
