City of Kamloops Wins Recognition Provincially in Public Works

City Seeking Vendors for the 2020 Green Living Expo at Made in BC

The City is pleased to announce that the fifth annual Green Living Expo will be held as an industry pavilion during the Made in BC Expo event, which will be hosted by the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce. The expo is on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at the Powwow Arbour.

The City is currently accepting exhibitor applications to be a part of the Green Living Expo. Ideal exhibitors are companies and organizations that are involved in sustainable home improvements, landscaping, locally sourced products, active transportation, water conservation, waste reduction, and cultural responsibility.

“We are excited to join forces with the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce’s Made in BC event,” said Jaimi Garbutt, the City’s Sustainability Educator. “We believe this change will refresh the fifth annual Green Living Expo for both returning exhibitors and attendees, while allowing us to engage with new attendees on the benefits of an active, low-carbon, and sustainable lifestyle.”

As a pavilion partner, the City is offering a competitive exhibitor rate. Space is limited—booth selection will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Other exhibits planned for the free, family-friendly event include:

  • garden demonstrations
  • electric vehicle display
  • electric tool demonstrations
  • food trucks
  • artisan zone
  • children’s curiosity park
  • live music
  • special performances
An application form to apply to be an exhibitor at the Green Living Expo industry pavilion can be found online at Kamloops.ca/Expo.
