Victoria, British Columbia, February 29, 2020 – Canada’s Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Rural Economic Development Maryam Monsef will be touring the regions of Victoria, Langford, and Ladysmith to meet with community leaders.

Minister Monsef meets with Minister Mungall, MLA for Nelson-Creston and British Columbia Minister of Jobs, Economic Development and Competitiveness to discuss shared priorities related to rural economic development.
Minister Monsef meets with Mitzi Dean, Parliamentary Secretary for Gender Equity and MLA for Esquimalt-Metchosin to discuss the National Strategy to Prevent and Address Gender-Based Violence.
Minister Monsef makes a funding announcement in support of affordable rental housing on behalf of the Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and the Minister responsible for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
